A stroll down memory highway.

I was going through my video archives and came across video that I shot this past summer as I drove along one of my favorite stretches of highway to ride, Highway 55.

It skirts the Wolf River as it cuts through the Menominee Indian Reservation. My dad was born and raised in Keshena, a small town situated in the southern portion of the reservation.

I frequently tore up 55 on my Ducati Monster when I was living in Shawano, which is seven miles south of the reservation. This stretch of asphalt twists and turns through beautiful stands of old growth forest. God, I miss riding my old friend 55. I will ride it again.

I strongly recommend riding this portion of Highway 55, you won’t regret it.

If you zoom out on the map below a bit, you can actually see the outline of the Menominee Indian Reservation. This is due to its dense forests.
